Girls 4 Science brings together students for a class reunion, coinciding with their 10-year anniversary, to recognize student accomplishments past and present over the years. The nationally recognized non-profit organization, dedicated to providing girls in Chicagoland quality science, technology, engineering and math programs, will host the 10th Annual Student Recognition and Awards Program at Malcolm X College, 1900 West Jackson Boulevard on Saturday, August 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The afternoon will feature guest speaker LaJena Miller, DC, Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine, Navy veteran and Chicago native, as she shares her career journey and passion for STEM.
Current and previous students will join together to commemorate Girls 4 Science memories while receiving recognition on accomplishments from the past year. Celebrating 10 years of providing support and education to more than 3,300 students across 35 Chicagoland schools, Girls 4 Science pays tribute to the strong community of women the organization has united through STEM exposure.
The event is sponsored by The Joseph and Bessie Feinberg Foundation and Cedar Concepts Corporation. For additional information, visit: http://girls4science.org/events_news.html.
