humans hear and discover how well you can listen. Activities

of landscapes he presented in his 1939 book, ‘Siftings.’
Discover how Jensen has helped shape the landscape of the
Chicago area by capturing the horizontal lines of the

Making Wood Sing: The Craft and Science of Lutherie shows
your how different woods are used in the construction of
guitars, violins and dulcimers. See how maple, mahogany,

in demonstrations of instrument construction techniques, and
hear music performed. After, you will put your newfound
knowledge to the test and construct a simple wooden

with the Metropolis Quartet, this month’s Chamber Concert,

for Charity stands as one of Chicago’s greatest one-day
fundraisers, regularly generating about @ million for 18
area nonprofits. Held at the McCormick Place the evening

buff alike. The tuxedo-mandatory gala affords participants
